4-5 Years
The formative years of a child's life are crucial in shaping their future learning and development. Pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) education plays a significant role during this period. At BELA, we strive to ensure our students develop academically and socially. Our literature-based curriculum, aligned with PA Standards and 8 learning domains, empowers our dedicated teachers to provide the skills and knowledge children need for their next educational steps. BELA also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including Spanish, Yoga, and Sports, seamlessly integrated into our curriculum. However, our main priorities remain nurture, kindness, and fostering young natural achievers.
Academic and Social Readiness for Kindergarten
Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten by fostering both academic and social-emotional readiness. We focus on creating a learning environment where children gain the confidence and foundational skills necessary for a successful transition to elementary school.
Developing Literacy, Math, and Science Skills
We incorporate STEAM principles and research-based teaching strategies to support early literacy, math, and science development. Through play-based learning and hands-on experiences, children build problem-solving skills, enhance language abilities, and develop pre-reading and mathematical concepts, ensuring they are well-prepared for kindergarten.
Fostering Independence and Socio-Emotional Growth
We emphasize Christian beliefs and values by teaching patience, caring, sharing, and kindness. Our Pre-K students learn to take responsibility for their actions while developing essential self-help skills. Through guided social interactions, they build confidence and strengthen their ability to form meaningful relationships.
Enriching Extracurricular Activities
Beyond core academics, our curriculum is enriched with weekly extracurricular activities that cater to a variety of interests. Students enjoy Spanish, Yoga, and Sports, all incorporated into their daily learning to encourage creativity, physical activity, and cultural awareness.
